You would think that this “game” would be about music, learning beat, hearing yourself playing along with the “band” however it is NOT…it is excellent hand eye coordination tool……
The gamers really can’t hear themselves play their instrument but they can see if they have played the right note on time……
For me as a Grandparent buying this “toy” for my Grandchild, was disapointing…… I was kinda excited that I could “keep up” during a “session”.

Although I am absolutely addicted to this game, the equipment that comes with the world tour set is of poor quality. Within a day, the tabs that hold the drum sticks were broken and fell into the drums. The whammy bar popped a spring and needs to be held up so it doesn’t affect the sound of the notes. The wire was pulled out of the yellow cymbal (but repaired by husband with electrical tape). Only the last problem was caused with any force. The other two were just with gentle use. They all still work, so its not the end of the world, but have lost some of their functionality. Great Game.

After reviewing some of the reviews from other sites about the Guitar Hero World Tour, I feel very fortunate to have gotten this product for my grand Children’s christmas gift. Thanks to Amazon, the other sites have either sold out or havn’t yet received their stocks. Thanks again Amazon.

We pre-ordered Guitar Hero World Tour for the Wii back in October. It was unwrapped Christmas Day as the big gift of the year and attempted to play with great frustration. We found the cymbals were not working, one was barely registering hits, the other, not at all. Activision is offering a patch and we sent for the cord to connect the PC to the equipment for tuning. Will review again once we receive patch and get this highly anticipated game up an running.
