I just bought this game for my husband for christmas but we only have 1 nunchuck? Can you still play the game with one or do you NEED both of them. We will be getting another one-just not for a while.

The Amazon Kindle 2 and the Sony Reader PRS-700 are two of the hottest ebook readers to hit the market in the past 12 months, bringing reading pleasure to an entirely new level. For those who are new to ebook reading devices and are interested in getting one, here’s a comparison of the Amazon Kindle 2 vs. Sony Reader and how they match up against each other.

Price
The price of any gadget is a big factor for many individuals especially for first-time buyers. The Amazon Kindle 2 is currently priced at $359, while the Sony Reader is currently pegged at $399, making the Kindle 2 cheaper by $40.

Size and Weight
The size and weight of these gadgets don’t really give one distinct advantage over the other. The Sony Reader PRS-700 weighs around 10 oz., the Kindle 2 just slightly over that. The Sony Reader is a bit wider and thicker, while the Kindle is a couple inches longer. In any case, both are very convenient to carry around.

Display
The two reading devices both use e-ink technology which creates a display that is very similar to text on paper, eliminating eye strain, and providing an easy read with crisp, clear text and images. The Amazon Kindle 2009 however, is now enhanced with 16 shades of gray, while the Sony Reader has an 8-level gray scale.

Wireless Capabilities
Here is a category where the Sony Reader is clearly bested by the Kindle. The Amazon Kindle 2nd generation makes use of the Whispernet technology, providing free wireless coverage in the US via Sprint’s 3G high-speed network. Kindle users can gain access to over 240,000 book titles, magazines, newspapers, and even blogs. By just choosing the reading content of choice and paying for it, the book or magazine will be downloaded to the Kindle anytime, anywhere within minutes! The Sony Reader PRS-700 on the other hand, still lacks this wireless capability, and with only less than 100,000 books to choose from, it does not even come close to the breadth of content that the Kindle offers.

Formats Supported
Both electronic book readers support most commonly used formats such as TXT, MP3, JPEG, GIF, PNG, and BMP, plus some formats unique to each device. The Sony Reader however, supports PDF while the Kindle 2 does not – not directly, anyway. PDFs still need to be emailed to Kindle’s support desk to be converted for viewing on the Kindle and Amazon has gives an advance notice that “some complex PDF files may not format correctly” on the Kindle.

Storage Capacity
In this feature, the Sony Reader gains the clear upper hand. True, the Amazon Kindle 2 has 2G of internal memory of which 1.4g is available for content and can hold up to 1,500 books, but it no longer supports external memory cards. While the Sony Reader’s 256mb internal memory may seem like peanuts compared to the Kindle, the main advantage actually lies in the Sony’s ability to support up to 16G of external memory. Now that’s a great benefit not only when it comes to holding thousands of content should one need it, but also for managing files into different memory cards.

Battery Life and Charge Time
The two ebook readers have the same capacity when it comes to battery life. On a fully charged Kindle 2 or Sony Reader, one can read straight for two weeks without needing a recharge. The only difference is that if the Kindle 2 is used with the wireless turned on, the battery capacity is reduced to just four days. Charging time for both readers is four hours via USB, or two hours using an AC wall charger.

The Bottom Line 2009 Comparison of the Amazon Kindle 2 vs Sony eBook Reader:

Although it’s not a total knock out for the Kindle over the Sony Reader, it’s close! The Amazon Kindle 2 remains the better ebook reader hands-down. The price, breadth of content, wireless capabilities, and overall design improvements of the Amazon Kindle 2nd generation makes it a clear winner over the Sony Reader 700.

Many people are exploring the full potential of the Wii console — with amazing results! Many talented programmers are producing FREE games for the Wii, and you can download these cool, high-quality Wii games onto an SD card! These games are free for the download. I’ll explain it all here.

First Step:

First of all, when I was first looking into this, I found that I needed to “mod” (modify) my Wii. Now, there are two ways to do this. The first way was to buy and solder a “mod chip” circuit board onto my Wii. That’s beyond my personal knowledge or equipment: I neither know how to solder, nor do I have the tools to do that. Plus, if the solder job got done incorrectly, it could potentially destroy my console! So, for me, that option was definitely out.

The second method of modding the Wii is “soft-modding” (or a software modification). With the soft-mod, I could gain the benefits of a modded Wii (by following simple step-by-step instructions) WITHOUT risking damage to my Wii console! Woo Hoo! And the modification cost a heck of a lot less. In fact, it was so cheap, I could buy a couple more games with the money I would have spent on the mod chip!

Second Step:

Secondly, since I got my soft-modding instructions with a big pack of software and information, I was able to quickly download some of these free Wii games right away. You go to the web address where the game is posted up for download, read about the various games the site has to offer, and click the download link! It’s as simple as that! You can even download the games directly to your Wii if you have got it connected to your internet connection.

What It’s All About:

These games are often called “homebrew” games, since they are made by game enthusiasts, and posted to the internet for free downloads, not for a fee. These are people whose hobby is simply making games for their favorite game consoles. Their only reward is that they make good games and have people enjoying their games all over the world! And most of them are of full professional quality, as you’ll see for yourself.

At the end of this article, I’ve posted a link for you to get the list of some of the coolest free games for the Wii. But first I want to talk about some of them, to whet your appetite…

The Games:

QUAKE – Do you like “first-person shooters?” If so, you’ll want to download this one. It has been ported to the Wii. You can use the shareware (demo) data file or the full version if you own the computer version. (This is one of MY personal favorites!)

SUPER TUX – Do you like the old-time “Super Mario Bros.” game? Super Tux is a penguin running around like ol’ Mario. ARCADE PUZZLE – Can you complete the jigsaw puzzle in time with only seeing a few pieces at a time?

BUGGIN – This is a fun one. It’s just so simple, yet fun to play with the Wii controllers, so I usually recommend it every time I talk about Wii homebrew. It’s like whack-a-mole, but with bugs. You can play single or multiplayer, too.

GUITARS ON FIRE – Do you like games like “Guitar Hero?” Guitars On Fire is just like that… but FREE! Play with the Wii remote or the custom guitar-style controllers.

CONSOLE EMULATORS – Have you enjoyed old gaming consoles from your past? You can play all your old favorites again on your Wii! Just download the emulator for your favorite system and the games you already own, and you are set to go — playing on your Wii! (Great fun!)

And there are just SO many more. Every category that you can think ofhas games for you to download and enjoy. Remember, they are all free! You can even download a program that will allow you to use the Wii remotes to play flash games over the internet!

In Conclusion:

So, you just download the games to an SD card and pop it into your Wii (or directly download it to your Wii). I doesn’t get any easier than that, my friend. And it doesn’t get any more fun, either.

After all they have won the War of the DJs more number of times than all the other cities put together. Some of them have by now become virtually household names.

DJ Suketu would probably deserve top mention here. His big moment was when ‘Bin Tere Sanam’ rocked the nation. Teenyboppers who had never even known such an original exists fell in instant love with the remix. His song selection and quality of mixing was impressive and was only to become better with time. With fame came more money and as of today, he can very well claim to have the top-notch equipment on the circuit.DJ Aqeel is another household name. Spinning since over 10 years, he can very well be the poster boy of the Indian party circuit. He has toured over 40 countries worldwide and currently even owns prominent nightspots in the Mumbai suburbs. Part of the current crème de la crème, he is seen spinning occasionally at Bling.

In 2000 was born a new star. DJ Nasha won the War of the DJs. What won him a million hearts was however was ‘Flute Fantasy’ from the ‘Hero’ theme. And then followed the remix ‘Jawaan-e-jaaneman’. This unassuming man had shown that he too was in the reckoning. He has twice represented India at the world DMC competition with his ethnic house and folk-inspired mixing. Nowadays he juggles his time playing to screaming crowds with a DJ academy that he wants to open and the 3-piece band he is working on. The scene has its rags to riches story too. Yash Dham stormed the scene as ‘DJ Freez’ and won the War of the DJs in 2003. A resident of a far-flung suburb on the outskirts of Mumbai, his success was stuff that dreams are made of.

Mixing mostly rap and Bhangra beats his sound was just what the doctor ordered for a crowd that sweated all week and just wanted to sweat some more on weekends! Born of a Punjabi father and an Anglo Indian mother, he claims to have been influenced a lot by hip hop, lounge and mambo which adequately reflect in his recent works. He too occasionally is seen on the turn tables at Zenzi and other nightspots. All of them agree on one point though. Given the city’s staggering diversity, there are takers for all sorts of sounds. The phase is still experimentation for these guys and each day has seen them only getting better. If the mad, raving, prancing crowd at ‘Bling’ is any indication that is.
